TRUE James D. True, age 80, of Grove City, OH, formerly of Portsmouth, OH, died Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Jim was retired from the U.S. Government. He was a retired Chief Master Sgt. of the USAF. Jim was a veteran of WW II surviving the attack on Pearl Harbor, and spending the rest of the war in the Silent Service. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Portsmouth, OH. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice; son, David (Jean Anne) True; daughter, Bonnie (David) Cook; granddaughters, Brittany Cook and Sarah (Zachary) Lee; brothers, George True and Jack (Joan) True and sister, Dorothy Monk. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Caroline True and sisters, Janet Chanson and Mary Stapleton. Graveside service and inurnment 1 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Grove City Cemetery West with Pastor David Berna officiating.
