Terry D. Norris, 74, departed his earthly home for his final flight to his eternal home on April 10, 2013.  He was born April 14, 1938 in Darke County, Ohio. He was a 1956 graduate of Arcanum High School and a 1961 graduate of the Air Force Academy. Terry had a dual career of teaching/coaching and serving his country as an Air Force pilot. One of his greater passions was playing golf with his brothers and with his buddies at Fawn Lake and he was a sudoku enthusiast. Terry was the son of the late Leonard G. and Dorothy M. (Baird) Norris of Arcanum, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Zachary D. Norris, and his brother Lonnie J. Norris. Survivors include his loving wife Sandy, his daughters Jennifer Harrington (Tom), Molly Foglietti (Craig), Michele Constanzi (Mike), and his son Michael Norris (Carmen); 9 grandchildren; a brother Dan (Betty), and a sister Colleen Schenck (Lee).  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 15, at Johnson's Funeral Home, 31440 Constitution Hwy (Route 20), Locust Grove, VA. Pastor Jack Marcom, Jr. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to the Orange County Animal Shelter at 11362 Porter Road, Orange, VA 22960. 

From 1970-1987, Terry served as an Air Force Reserve Pilot, Chief of Standardization, Chief of Plans, and Director of Operations for the Reserve Unit in Columbus, Ohio. He also served as Commander for operations, Red Flag, Panama rotation, and a deployment to Germany. He attended the National War College in Washington D.C. in 1976. In 1987, he was the Air Force Reserve Advisor to the Director Plans, Air Force, at the Pentagon. He was also the Air Force Reserve and Guard Mobilization Advisor for the first Iraq War.
