Lt. Col. Paul B. Heironimus, USAF (Ret.) of Lake Alfred, Florida, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at his residence. He was 85. A native of Selma, Ohio, born July 1, 1919 to Harry and Pauline Jones Heironimus, Paul moved to this area 5 years ago from Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was a retired Pilot for the Department of Agriculture, logging over 17,000 hours of flight time; he was a World War II veteran serving as a Pilot Trainer, and afterward served 28 years for the US Air Force Reserve; he was a member of the Elks Lodge; a pilot for the Confederate Air Force; member of R.O.A. (The Reserve Officers Association); and M.O.A.A. (Military Officers of America Association); and he was also a member of The Rock Church of Winter Haven, Florida.


Paul was predeceased by a daughter Viki Manley and a brother David Heironimus. Paul is survived by his wife: Beverly Ann Heironimus of Lake Alfred; sons: James L. Heironimus of Houston, Texas; Paul Dean Heironimus of Florence, Arizona; Kenneth Gene Heironimus of Buckeye, Arizona; Robert Pinter of Kemmerer, Wyoming; David Dale Pinter of Evanston, Wyoming; Stephen Pinter of Hiwassee, Arkansas; Kevin Pinter of Gravette, Arkansas; one daughter: Jodie Lynn Fellers of Rogers, Arkansas; brothers: Lewis Heironimus of New Carlisle, Ohio; Roger Heironimus of Phillilps, Wisconsin; Eddie Heironimus of Reston, Virginia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. from the chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Pastor Mike Jarrett of The Rock will officiate. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday with full military honors conducted by the MacDill Air Force: Base Honor Guard.
